It seems to fail due to a test which requires mysql server, this can be avoided by adding @dbtest to the test; I will fix this upstream.
FYI: cli_helpers 1.0.1 is needed first, update is in testing.

The patch is already merged in master: https://github.com/dbcli/mycli/commit/797b0a8b63bed6590eeee31ec1c818982fbd66c8.patch Instead of applying this patch you can also remove test/test_tabular_output.py (it only contains a single test which requires a running mysql server)
