Description of problem: On Gluster Volumes screen, clicking at Snapshot -> New does nothing. No errors or messages are generated in engine.log, ui.log, vdsm.log or browser Javascript console Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.2.1 How reproducible: Everytime Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to Storage -> Volumes 2. Select any Gluster Volume 3. Click at Snapshot -> New Actual results: Nothing Expected results: New Snapshot frame show appear Additional info: The problems appears on both Chrome and Firefox on Linux and Windows.
Let me add that very rarely (1 out of 100) the Snapshots Create button works. I am still trying to understand what conditions make the button work.
I can't reproduce this anymore after upgrade to 4.2.1 and upgrading all the hosts.

I started consistently seeing the Gluster Snapshot dialog, and managed to successfully take a one time snapshot and also managed to create schedule for snapshots on multiple gluster volumes. However now the snapshot dialog is again not visible and, what might be a separate issue, the scheduled snapshots were never generated. I have gone through the trouble of settings up a three node oVirt with gluster from scratch to test this and can confirm that the Snapshot dialog doesn't work on vanilla oVirt/Gluster installation either.

Hi Gobind, in the oVirt 4.2 UI, the Snapshot -> New and Georeplication -> New are not bringing up the UI dialogs. I donot see any errors in the ui.log either. Could you take a look?
In case it will help you troubleshoot, as I mentioned in the mailing list, I can access the UI dialogs for Snapshot and Georeplication by opening the volume details page, deleting the cookies (using browser plugins like EditThisCookie) and refreshing.

This bugzilla is included in oVirt 4.2.3 release, published on May 4th 2018. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in oVirt 4.2.3 release, it has been closed with a resolution of CURRENT RELEASE. If the solution does not work for you, please open a new bug report.
