Description Tomas Hoger 2018-01-25 13:08:36 UTC
Description of problem:

gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free currently requires openjpeg-devel (1.*) version rather than the current 2.* version of the openjpeg library packaged as openjpeg2. Apparently, upstream supports 2.* so there does not seem to be a reason to keep using old version that is no longer supported upstream.

I did a quick test with a trivial BR change:

-BuildRequires: openjpeg-devel
+BuildRequires: openjpeg2-devel

Scratch build was successful, and libgstopenjpeg.so was built.

Is there any real reason to keep using old 1.* version?

Wim, any thought on this? I see you added openjpeg plugin support.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 28 development cycle.
Changing version to '28'.

Create PR to hopefully speed this up:

Comment 5 Tomas Hoger 2018-03-08 09:21:24 UTC
There is also an older PR for the same:
