Description Matt Pusateri 2018-01-31 21:48:54 UTC
Description of problem:

User who belongs to group "SR-APP-EPM-Membre-équipe" can't log in or change to that group when logged into classic or SSUI. User is logged out of SSUI

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
5.9.0.19

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Configure External Auth for Active Directory.
2.Have user who is a member of a group with accent marks like "SR-APP-EPM-Membre-équipe"
3. Try to log into classic and or self service ui. Or try to change groups if the user is a member of multiple groups

Actual results:
User can't log in or change to that group.

Expected results:
User should be able to log in or change to valid group.

Additional info:
Similiar to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1531626 except with External auth and affects both classic UI and SSUI.

Joe can you please take the first pass at diagnosing this? It may turn out that the issue is in the API. If that's the case, Jillian should be able to take it. She has already fixed the same issue on it the API.

Comment 4 Matt Pusateri 2018-02-01 18:19:36 UTC
This also is a issue for 5.8.3

Comment 5 Joe Vlcek 2018-02-16 20:46:12 UTC
Hey Matt,

I realize you had produced https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1469589 on SAML
but the fix was not limited to SAML. It was actually an External Auth issue.

I'm closing this BZ as a dub of 1469589.
