Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Craig Donnelly 2018-02-07 17:29:32 UTC
Description of problem:
When searching for a package via Content -> Packages, the epoch version of a package is not shown unless a package in the list is selected, then the epoch will suddenly appear within the versions of that package inside the list.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):6.2.14

How reproducible: 100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Sync rhel-7-server-rpms
2. filter by 'name = yelp' on Content -> Packages
3. Observe silly results.

Actual results:
Before clicking package, versions are displayed for example:
yelp-3.22.0-1.el7.x86_64 -> If we click this version for details, suddenly the list will now contain the epoch version for the package.

Expected results:
yelp-1:3.22.0-1.el7.x86_64 should be shown at all times.

Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite 6 since the upstream issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/23051 has been resolved.

Comment 4 jcallaha 2018-06-04 18:50:45 UTC
Verified in Satellite 6.4 Snap 5.

Packages page now correctly displays the full epoch and name of pages during search. See attached gif for verification.
