Description Florian Weimer 2018-02-21 12:55:19 UTC
/usr/lib64/amanda/amandad in amanda-3.5.1-8.fc28.x86_64 is not linked with the standard Fedora linker flags (LDFLAGS) from redhat-rpm-config.

libtool: link: gcc -Wall -Wextra -Wparentheses -Wdeclaration-after-statement -Wmissing-prototypes -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Wformat -Wformat-security -Wsign-compare -Wfloat-equal -Wold-style-definition -Wno-strict-aliasing -Wno-unknown-pragmas -Wno-deprecated-declarations -DAMANDA_FILE=\"amandad.o\" -O2 -g -pipe -Wall -Werror=format-security -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -Wp,-D_GLIBCXX_ASSERTIONS -fexceptions -fstack-protector-strong -grecord-gcc-switches -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-hardened-cc1 -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-annobin-cc1 -m64 -mtune=generic -fasynchronous-unwind-tables -fstack-clash-protection -mcet -fcf-protection -fPIE -fno-strict-aliasing -pie -o .libs/amandad amandad.o -Wl,--export-dynamic -pthread ./.libs/libamandad.so /builddir/build/BUILD/amanda-3.5.1/common-src/.libs/libamanda.so ../common-src/.libs/libamanda.so ../gnulib/.libs/libgnu.a -lrt -lm -lgmodule-2.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lgthread-2.0 -lglib-2.0 -lresolv -lgssapi_krb5 -lkrb5 -lk5crypto -lkrb5support -lcom_err -lssl -lcrypto -lcurl -ltirpc -pthread

Only CFLAGS are injected, but not LDFLAGS.

This affects other ELF binaries as well.

See https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/redhat-rpm-config/blob/master/f/buildflags.md for information on RPM macros and environment variables provided by the build environment.
