Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Paul Dudley 2018-02-22 01:49:13 UTC
Description of problem:
At the end of a scap run the client reports this:

"Uploading results to https://satellite.example.com:9090/compliance/arf/#"

In addition to this, it would be convenient to have the report number be reported back in the command line so that the report is easier to find, via a simple URL link or report ID.[

For example:
# foreman_scap_client 1
DEBUG: running: oscap xccdf eval --profile xccdf_org.ssgproject.content_profile_common --results-arf /tmp/d20180221-5307-rcb3q1/results.xml /var/lib/openscap/content/96c2a9d5278d5da905221bbb2dc61d0ace7ee3d97f021fccac994d26296d986d.xml
WARNING: This content points out to the remote resources. Use `--fetch-remote-resources' option to download them.
WARNING: Skipping https://www.redhat.com/security/data/oval/com.redhat.rhsa-RHEL7.xml.bz2 file which is referenced from XCCDF content
DEBUG: running: /usr/bin/bzip2 /tmp/d20180221-5307-rcb3q1/results.xml
Uploading results to https://satellite.example.com:9090/compliance/arf/1

Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/23702 from this bug

Comment 2 Bryan Kearney 2019-09-03 19:06:50 UTC
The Satellite Team is attempting to provide an accurate backlog of bugzilla requests which we feel will be resolved in the next few releases. We do not believe this bugzilla will meet that criteria, and have plans to close it out in 1 month. This is not a reflection on the validity of the request, but a reflection of the many priorities for the product. If you have any concerns about this, feel free to contact Red Hat Technical Support or your account team. If we do not hear from you, we will close this bug out. Thank you.

Comment 3 Marek Hulan 2019-09-04 06:35:01 UTC
Ondra, given the server response has been improved already, is this just making foreman_scap_client displaying it? If so, so we keep it open?

Comment 4 Sanket Jagtap 2019-09-04 08:27:17 UTC
I think in current satellite 6.6 we do have this already implemented , let me do a quick check

Comment 5 Sanket Jagtap 2019-09-04 08:41:29 UTC

Looks like we already have this implemented, not exactly the same , But the report number is now displayed

scap client output

Comment 7 Ondřej Pražák 2019-09-04 08:51:34 UTC
Exactly, we already show report id.

Comment 8 Marek Hulan 2019-09-04 15:58:00 UTC
Thanks guys, in that case I see 2 action items here. Ondra, should we close the upstream issue as resolved? Sanket, does it make sense to.move this to verified?

Comment 9 Sanket Jagtap 2019-09-05 06:29:08 UTC
ACK, I can

Comment 10 Bryan Kearney 2019-09-05 08:01:06 UTC
Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite 6 since the upstream issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/23702 has been resolved.

Comment 11 Marek Hulan 2019-09-05 10:46:10 UTC
moving to ON_QA and leaving up to Sanket to switch :-)

Comment 12 Sanket Jagtap 2019-09-07 14:54:18 UTC
Tested with snap 17, moving to verified
