Description Bryan Yount 2018-02-23 02:37:51 UTC
3. What is the nature and description of the request?

Currently, there is no good way to check PV usage and take necessary action/ alert our clients. We have to depend on and use OS-level commands to get required info. This approach is not elegant, time consuming and the client typically does not have access to the underlying operating system.

4. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

PaaS platform admins need this information to monitor resource utilization

5. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)

They would like to see the PV utilization metrics in heapster or OpenShift metrics or as a annotation to the PVC itself.

6. For each functional requirement listed, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented.

PV utilization metrics available in normal OpenShift metrics
  OR
PV utilization as an annotation to the PVC

7. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla?

No.

8. Does the customer have any specific timeline dependencies and which release would they like to target (i.e. RHEL5, RHEL6)?

OpenShift 3.10 or 3.11

9. Is the sales team involved in this request and do they have any additional input?

No.

11. Would the customer be able to assist in testing this functionality if implemented?

Yes.
