From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2

Description of problem:
I just upgraded to 2.6.11-1.14_FC3smp and I now receive the following error during bootup:

pnp: PnPACPI: METHOD_NAME__CRS failure for PNP0c01

I found this in /var/log/messages:

[root@dogbert ~]# cat /proc/cmdline
ro root=LABEL=/ quiet pci=routeirq

Doesn't seem to fix the problem.

Comment 2 Jerry 2005-04-17 19:50:19 UTC
I am getting very similar messages.

Comment 3 Ian Shields 2005-05-25 02:14:46 UTC
I'm seeing similar on an Intel D845GEBV2 board. Problem does not occur at
2.6.10-1.770_FC3 but does occur with 2.6.11-1.14_FC3 and 2.6.11-1.27_FC3.

Comment 4 Robert Moore 2005-05-25 16:28:56 UTC
ACPI: Subsystem revision 20050211

This was fixed in version 20050310:

10 March 2005. Summary of changes for version 20050310:

1) ACPI CA Core Subsystem:

The string-to-buffer implicit conversion code has been modified again after a
change to the ACPI specification. In order to match the behavior of the other
major ACPI implementation, the target buffer is no longer truncated if the
source string is smaller than an existing target buffer. This change requires
an update to the ACPI spec, and should eliminate the recent
AE_AML_BUFFER_LIMIT issues.

Comment 5 Dave Jones 2005-07-15 19:33:47 UTC
An update has been released for Fedora Core 3 (kernel-2.6.12-1.1372_FC3) which
may contain a fix for your problem. Please update to this new kernel, and
report whether or not it fixes your problem.

If you have updated to Fedora Core 4 since this bug was opened, and the problem
still occurs with the latest updates for that release, please change the version
field of this bug to 'fc4'.

Thank you.

Comment 6 Albert Strasheim 2005-07-17 18:16:27 UTC
Works for me with kernel-smp-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4.
