Description of problem:
There is redhat-rhn-satellite-5.8-server-x86_64-6 child channel synced on the Satellite. I am able to see it on Channels page in WebUI, but this channel is not shown on the "Software Channel Entitlements" page (ChannelFamilyTree.do) within the "Red Hat Network Management Satellite" channel entitlement.
Does not work on 5.7 but works on 5.8.
This channel was synced via satellite-sync from a dump.
Reproduced on two independent Satellite 5.7 servers.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. satellite-sync -m. -c redhat-rhn-satellite-5.8-server-x86_64-6
2. check the channel presence on Channels page or any other way
3. Navigate to Overview -> Subscription Management -> Software Channel Entitlements and search for "satellite" 
4.open the "Red Hat Network Management Satellite" channel entitlement


Actual results:
Synced channel Red Hat Satellite (v5.8 for Server v6 AMD64 / Intel64) (redhat-rhn-satellite-5.8-server-x86_64-6) is not shown on the "Red Hat Network Management Satellite" channel entitlement page.

Expected results:
Channel should be shown there.

I can reproduce this on a 5.7 system using sat-sync directly to RHN. Investigating.

We have re-reviewed this bug, as part of an ongoing effort to improve Satellite/Proxy feature and bug updates, review and backlog.

This is a low priority bug and has no currently open customer cases. While this bug may still valid, we do not see it being implemented prior to the EOL of the Satellite 5.x product. As such, this is being CLOSED DEFERRED. 

Closing now to help set customer expectations as early as possible. You are welcome to re-open this bug if needed.
