Description of problem: After resume from suspend or hibernate, the touchpad is dead together with red mouse thingy. Laptop is Thinkpad T460P. bios version 2.22 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Using xorg-x11-drv-synaptics-legacy-1.9.0-6.fc27.x86_64 on X but libinput works just the same. How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Suspend or hibernate the Thinkpad 2. Resume 3. Watch unresponsive touchpad and trackpad 4. Do you get any events out of the device after resume? sudo evemu-record will tell you if it's a kernel issue (most likely).
I can't test again now, but I determined that problem arises only when using UEFI only option in bios with legacy disabled. Changing to UEFI first option still get you UEFI boot but touchpad works fine after resume. This affects at least T460 and T460p. Will test it in a few days when I get a hold of machines again.
