Description of problem: backup command works with internal Mongo DB directly and does not reflect Mongo DB setup when it is on remote server. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. configure Pulp to use remote Mongo DB 2. foreman-maintain backup 3. Actual results: Local mongo DB was backed up Expected results: Remote Mongo that is used by our Pulp was backed up Additional info: We need to investigate if remote live backup using mongodump [1] is safe and takes reasonable time. Turning Pulp workers off should help but Mongo docs show concerns about performance. More docs [2]. As a plan "B" we can provide instructions for remote offline backup. Backups using Mongo replicas could be an option too. [1] https://docs.mongodb.com/v2.6/tutorial/backup-with-mongodump/#backup-from-non-local [2] https://docs.mongodb.com/v2.6/core/backups/
