RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Comment 10 Wei Liu 2018-04-19 01:54:38 UTC
I try again on RHEL-6.10-Beta-1.1 and the issue still exists on the latest build. The steps are as below:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
subscription-manager-rhsm-1.20.10-3.el6.x86_64
subscription-manager-1.20.10-3.el6.x86_64
subscription-manager-firstboot-1.20.10-3.el6.x86_64
subscription-manager-rhsm-certificates-1.20.10-3.el6.x86_64
subscription-manager-gui-1.20.10-3.el6.x86_64

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install build RHEL-6.10-20180418.0

2.Register system and attach subscription
[root@localhost ~]# subscription-manager register
Registering to: subscription.rhsm.stage.redhat.com:443/subscription
Username: rnew_test
Password:
The system has been registered with ID: cedad3ca-7b8a-42b2-89e5-90476d9283d3
The registered system name is: localhost.localdomain
[root@localhost ~]# subscription-manager attach --auto
Installed Product Current Status:
Product Name: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server
Status: Subscribed

3.Check the rhsm.log
[root@localhost ~]# cat /var/log/rhsm/rhsm.log | grep -i error
2018-04-19 05:27:11,808 [ERROR] firstboot:9404:MainThread @identity.py:145 - Reload of consumer identity cert /etc/pki/consumer/cert.pem raised an exception with msg: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/pki/consumer/key.pem'
2018-04-19 05:27:11,822 [ERROR] firstboot:9404:MainThread @identity.py:145 - Reload of consumer identity cert /etc/pki/consumer/cert.pem raised an exception with msg: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/pki/consumer/key.pem'
2018-04-19 05:41:18,354 [ERROR] rhsmd:10048:MainThread @identity.py:145 - Reload of consumer identity cert /etc/pki/consumer/cert.pem raised an exception with msg: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/pki/consumer/key.pem'
2018-04-19 05:41:18,373 [ERROR] rhsmd:10048:MainThread @identity.py:145 - Reload of consumer identity cert /etc/pki/consumer/cert.pem raised an exception with msg: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/pki/consumer/key.pem'
2018-04-19 05:42:19,994 [ERROR] yumBackend.py:10056:MainThread @identity.py:145 - Reload of consumer identity cert /etc/pki/consumer/cert.pem raised an exception with msg: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/pki/consumer/key.pem'
2018-04-19 05:43:38,148 [ERROR] subscription-manager:10067:MainThread @identity.py:145 - Reload of consumer identity cert /etc/pki/consumer/cert.pem raised an exception with msg: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/pki/consumer/key.pem'

As Step 3. The error message still exists in rhsm log,so move the bug status to NEW.

Comment 11 Chris Snyder 2018-04-19 13:39:18 UTC
The fix has been included in subscription-manager-1.20.10-6, moving back to ON_QA.

Comment 13 Wei Liu 2018-04-20 01:44:55 UTC
I will verify it when new RHEL6.10 build comes.

Comment 14 Chris Snyder 2018-04-20 10:06:11 UTC
@Wei

Thank you!
