User story: As an installer/data center manager, I want to be able to deploy and manage OpenStack services in containers in a faster, easier, and more secure manner than the traditional way of deployment. That should be partially achieved by running each service in a standalone container so that they operate independently with less interference from each other. Purpose of function: In OSP 12 and 13, containerized deployment will be rolled out using docker-cmd, which will result in fully tested containerized highly available deployment of overcloud. For OSP12 Cinder, Manila and Neutron were excluded from containerized deployment. In 13, these will be containerized as default.
Work on this was completed for OSP12 and evolved through OSP13 and OSP14.
