Description of problem: After upgrade to freerdp-2:2.0.0-40.20180320gitde83f4d.fc27.x86_64 connection is not possible using NLA security settings. Host system is a Windows 7. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):freerdp-2:2.0.0-40.20180320gitde83f4d.fc27 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Upgrade to freerdp-2:2.0.0-40.20180320gitde83f4d.fc27 2. Try to connect using xfreerdp or krdc 3. Actual results: No connection. xfreerdp reports [com.freerdp.core] - freerdp_set_last_error ERRCONNECT_PASSWORD_CERTAINLY_EXPIRED [0x0002000F] Expected results: Clean connect Additional info: The update apparently solved an issue with Microsoft KB4088776 in Win10 host computers (see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1555380). That issue was also related to not connecting to a Windows system using NLA, reporting the same error message from freerdp. However, this build breaks my connection to a Win7 computer. I was not able to rollback the upgrade. The previous working version was freerdp-2:2.0.0-39.20180314gitf8baeb7.fc27.x86_64, which I am not able to locate. Trying to downgrade freerdp lands in freerdp-2:2.0.0-34.20170831git3b83526.fc27.x86_64 which shows the same problem. Setting security to rdp or tls works, provided the host computer allows connections other than NLA.
After taking a look in the freerdp github, it seems to me that https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/pull/4510 (March, 23) addresses the problem. A new build against master might do the trick
Version 2:2.0.0-39.20180314gitf8baeb7.fc27 indeed is the last working. You can find it at Koji: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1058385 I think the fix from 34 to 39 was not applied to 40 for some reason. B.
