Description Orion Poplawski 2018-04-10 16:29:07 UTC
Description of problem:

The logrotate script does not notify the supervisord process so it will keep writing to rotated log files.

However, I'm not sure that it would be good to send a SIGHUP as this will restart all of the child processes.

I've filed https://github.com/Supervisor/supervisor/issues/1090 upstream for discussion as well.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
supervisor-3.1.4-1.el7.noarch

Also present in Fedora.

This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.

Hello Orion,
It's been quite some time since this bug reported and issue is closed on Github ?

Comment 3 Orion Poplawski 2022-07-01 13:07:58 UTC
The issue (273) is still open in github, and the downstream logrotate script still does not notify the supervisor process.

Comment 4 Troy Dawson 2024-07-09 02:20:12 UTC
EPEL 7 entered end-of-life (EOL) status on 2024-06-30.\n\nEPEL 7 is no longer maintained, which means that it\nwill not receive any further security or bug fix updates.\n As a result we are closing this bug.
