There are free unichrome drivers. See unichrome.sourceforge.net. It's not clear to me why they haven't been incorporated into the official x.org distribution. Perhaps Red Hat could add them as a patch? That would be a huge help since it would save all us poor unichrome owners from having to compile the entire x.org distribution!
FC5 x.org includes the via driver.
