Description Felipe Henriquez 2018-04-21 02:13:34 UTC
Document URL: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_gluster_storage/3.3/html/installation_guide/updating_your_current_system

Section Number and Name: Stop the gluster services on the storage server

Describe the issue: there is not specified how stop the services if you have gluster console connected to the gluster cluster.

after you manually stop the services you see the services stopped, but when you are running the yum update apear a error messages on the installation process, the services glusterd running.

Suggestions for improvement:

Add a note for the users with gluster console to put the servers in maintenance mode in order to not start the services from the console.

Can you please clarify if it is RHGS Console, or WA?

IF it is RHGS Console, we have https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1636023 with rhel7.6. And this doc bug will lose its validity.

@Bipin, can you please point them to the KCS article that we were going to publish, for their reference?

Let's consider this Bug for RHGSWA. RHS-C is anyhow in the maintenance phase and we don't want to make any changes wrt to it.
