rpm -ql policycoreutils|grep locale/lt /usr/share/locale/lt/LC_MESSAGES/policycoreutils.mo /usr/share/locale/lt_LT/LC_MESSAGES/policycoreutils.mo On my system /usr/share/locale/lt/LC_MESSAGES has 761 files, while /usr/share/locale/lt_LT/LC_MESSAGES has 4 files. I suggest dropping /usr/share/locale/lt_LT/LC_MESSAGES/policycoreutils.mo.
Thank you for reporting the issue. You are correct, lt_LT is not even present in out translation repository (https://fedora.zanata.org/iteration/view/selinux/master) and hasn't been maintained for a long time.
Could you please check that unmaintained translation is removed from upcoming RHEL 8 as well?
The same with lv.po and lv_LV.po - the latter should be removed. BTW, the files do not differ (only in headers), I downloaded policycoreutils-2.9-1.fc30.src.rpm, extracted po files from policycoreutils-2.9.tar.gz and this is what the diff shows: $ diff -u lt_LT.po lt.po --- lt_LT.po 2019-03-15 12:32:30.000000000 +0200 +++ lt.po 2019-03-15 12:32:30.000000000 +0200 @@ -10,9 +10,9 @@ "POT-Creation-Date: 2013-10-10 16:04-0400\n" "PO-Revision-Date: 2012-03-30 18:14+0000\n" "Last-Translator: FULL NAME <EMAIL@ADDRESS>\n" -"Language-Team: Lithuanian (Lithuania) (http://www.transifex.com/projects/p/" -"fedora/language/lt_LT/)\n" -"Language: lt_LT\n" +"Language-Team: Lithuanian (http://www.transifex.com/projects/p/fedora/" +"language/lt/)\n" +"Language: lt\n" "MIME-Version: 1.0\n" "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8\n" "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n" $ diff -u lv_LV.po lv.po --- lv_LV.po 2019-03-15 12:32:30.000000000 +0200 +++ lv.po 2019-03-15 12:32:30.000000000 +0200 @@ -8,11 +8,11 @@ "Project-Id-Version: Policycoreutils\n" "Report-Msgid-Bugs-To: \n" "POT-Creation-Date: 2013-10-10 16:04-0400\n" -"PO-Revision-Date: 2012-03-30 18:14+0000\n" -"Last-Translator: FULL NAME <EMAIL@ADDRESS>\n" -"Language-Team: Latvian (Latvia) (http://www.transifex.com/projects/p/fedora/" -"language/lv_LV/)\n" -"Language: lv_LV\n" +"PO-Revision-Date: 2013-07-10 20:44+0000\n" +"Last-Translator: dwalsh <dwalsh>\n" +"Language-Team: Latvian (http://www.transifex.com/projects/p/fedora/language/" +"lv/)\n" +"Language: lv\n" "MIME-Version: 1.0\n" "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8\n" "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n" Please remove both lt_LT.po and lv_LV.po from policycoreutils-2.9.tar.gz.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 30 is nearing its end of life. Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 30 on 2020-05-26. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '30'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 30 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
