Description Aurelien GUERSON 2018-05-16 16:30:37 UTC
Description of problem:
When you want to use yum-deprecated ( because dnf is evil ! )

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
All

How reproducible:
yum-deprecated update

Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf -y install yum
2. yum-deprecated clean all
3. yum-deprecated update

Actual results:
Error: Invalid version flag: if

Expected results:
update all the packages

Additional info:
The problem is in the rpm src file redhat-rpm-config-107-1.fc28.src.rpm

yum-deprecated doesn't recognize the line :

"Requires: (annobin if gcc)" in the spec file

If you recompile the rpm "redhat-rpm-config" without line "Requires: (annobin if gcc)", everything works fine !

Comment 1 Aurelien GUERSON 2018-05-16 16:32:34 UTC
To debug :

yum-deprecated update --setopt=debuglevel=5 --setopt=errorlevel=2

Comment 2 Daniel Mach 2018-07-18 21:31:23 UTC
yum and related packages are no longer actively developed.
They are being replaced with dnf, dnf-utils, etc.

I'm closing this bug because it's most likely never going to be fixed.
If you still consider your bug report important, reopen it, please.
