Description of problem: When you want to use yum-deprecated ( because dnf is evil ! ) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): All How reproducible: yum-deprecated update Steps to Reproduce: 1. dnf -y install yum 2. yum-deprecated clean all 3. yum-deprecated update Actual results: Error: Invalid version flag: if Expected results: update all the packages Additional info: The problem is in the rpm src file redhat-rpm-config-107-1.fc28.src.rpm yum-deprecated doesn't recognize the line : "Requires: (annobin if gcc)" in the spec file If you recompile the rpm "redhat-rpm-config" without line "Requires: (annobin if gcc)", everything works fine !
To debug : yum-deprecated update --setopt=debuglevel=5 --setopt=errorlevel=2
yum and related packages are no longer actively developed. They are being replaced with dnf, dnf-utils, etc. I'm closing this bug because it's most likely never going to be fixed. If you still consider your bug report important, reopen it, please.
