Description Joe Vlcek 2018-05-18 15:47:44 EDT
Description of problem:

Currently the config map generator creates config maps that include
the /etc/sysconfig/network file. This file should not be included in
the new config map.

How reproducible:

Create a new config map for active directory or ipa or ldap. The
/etc/sysconfig/network file will be exported to the new config map
but on OpenShift this file does not exists. On some versions of minishift it
does but does not get altered by the configuration.

Ievgen,

The IPA setup does generate the /etc/sysconfig/network file so it is required for
IPA. Please see:

https://github.com/ManageIQ/httpd_configmap_generator/pull/31#issuecomment-390690312

Does this cause your IPA setup to fail to work?

Joe,

no, setup doesn't fail, httpd pod works w/o issues with this configmap and this file.
However, you stated in BZ description that "Create a new config map for active directory or ipa or ldap.". So, that's the reason why I sent this BZ back to you.

Since, this is correct for ipa. I'm closing this BZ.

Thanks.
