Description of problem: systemd spits out a warning like this: ---- systemd[1]: /usr/lib/systemd/system/rsyslog.service:21: Unknown lvalue 'LimitNOFILE' in section 'Install' ---- I suppose that the Limit is non-functional too. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rsyslog-8.35.0-2.fc28.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start rsyslog 2. See the above error message with e.g. journalctl 3. Additional info: Simply moving the line LimitNOFILE=16384 To the correct section, namely [Service] solves the problem.
