Verified on logging-kibana/images/v3.6.173.0.126-2. The ELASTICSEARCH_REQUESTTIMEOUT can be set by environment parameter. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
