Description Yaniv Kaul 2018-06-19 11:49:18 UTC
Description of problem:
As we wish to remove the Guest tools ISO from the Engine Appliance (to reduce its size and have the deployment complete faster, we may want to ease deploying it.
An ansible role that can download it and upload it to the a/the data domain will be useful.

In case of downstream, it should be further, later on, being asked in Cockpit as an option, but this is forward looking.

Is this a duplicate of bug 1554339, or you mean something else?

I think it's the basis to it. Before we automatically have the ISO there, let's have a role that can do it. This is about the role.

Closing won't fix. We are not going to ship guest tools iso anymore in 4.4 having moved driver installation to virtio-win.
