Description Brant Evans 2018-06-23 18:37:29 UTC
Created attachment 1453996 [details]
Screenshot show a user that is a member of a large number of AD groups

Description of problem:
When adding groups to CloudForms and utilizing the "Look up External Authentication Groups" feature the "LDAP Groups for User" should have a search/filter box to make it easier to find the group when the user that is used for the lookup belongs to a large number of groups.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
5.9.2.4

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure an appliance for external authentication
2. Navigate to System Configuration / Access Control
3. Select Groups
4. From the Configuration button select "Add a new Group"
5. Check the "Look up External Authentication Groups" checkbox
6. In the "User to Look Up" box enter a user name that exists in the external authentication source
7. Click the Retrieve button
8. Click the "LDAP Groups for User" dropdown

Actual results:
The dropdown does not have a way to search/filter the list of returned groups.

Expected results:
The dropdown has a search/filter box

Additional info:
The attached screenshot shows a user that has a large number of groups where a search/filter box would be very useful for finding the group that needs to be added.

Zita,

Can you change "LDAP Groups for User" drop down to be searchable.

Thanks,
~Harpreet
