Description Nikhil Kathole 2018-06-28 07:16:56 UTC
Description of problem: We registered content host to satellite 6.4 snap 9, but not able to see errata/updates for content host in satellite.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Satellite 6.4 snap 9
# rpm -q satellite
satellite-6.4.0-9.beta.el7sat.noarch

How reproducible: always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Created activation key with rhel7 server synced
2. Registered rhel 74/75 content host
    #rpm -Uvh http://satellite/pub/katello-ca-consumer-latest.noarch.rpm
    #subscription-manager register --org="Default_Organization" --activationkey="ak-rhel-7"
    #yum -y install katello-agent
3. Navigate Host -> Content host

Actual results:

No applicable errata seen on content host. No errors in production.log and Package Profile Update task completed successfully.

Also note that content host has updates. Updates can pull from satellite using #yum update.

Expected results: Errata/updates on content host should display in satellite.

Comment 4 Jan Hutař 2018-07-04 09:39:25 UTC
Hit it as well. Running `katello-package-upload -f` did not helped, although I can see "Package Profile Update for ..." succeeded.

(sorry, that needinfo was by accident)

Comment 5 Ashish Humbe 2018-07-04 14:04:04 UTC
Facing this issue on my local satellite 6.4 SNAP 10 as well. katello-package-upload -f , katello-enabled-repos-upload -f did not help.

Comment 6 Chris Duryee 2018-07-06 21:23:14 UTC
Was this known to work in snap 8?

Comment 7 Nikhil Kathole 2018-07-09 08:56:46 UTC
No this was not working in snap 8 as well. Looking into automation results, this is working fine in snap 3.

Comment 8 Christine Fouant 2018-07-09 19:28:41 UTC
Created redmine issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/24214 from this bug

Comment 9 Satellite Program 2018-07-11 22:24:50 UTC
Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite 6 since the upstream issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/24214 has been resolved.

Comment 10 Nikhil Kathole 2018-07-17 14:07:47 UTC
VERIFIED

Version tested:
Satellite 6.4 snap 12

Errata/updates on content host are visible in satellite.
