REVIEW: https://review.gluster.org/20417 (cli: change volume create syntax of arbiter volume) posted (#2) for review on master by Amar Tumballi COMMIT: https://review.gluster.org/20417 committed in master by "Atin Mukherjee" <amukherj> with a commit message- cli: change volume create syntax of arbiter volume fixes: bz#1596524 updates: gluster/glusterd2#515 Change-Id: I8a46fa2fd1fd2b0e9fbcecd3bb18d348aed9c6a9 Signed-off-by: Amar Tumballi <amarts> Why even say "Arbiter 1" if its a required argument ? (In reply to Anand Paladugu from comment #3) > Why even say "Arbiter 1" if its a required argument ? Without Arbiter keyword, we would create a plain replica 2 volume, which IMHO is a choice we should still give to the user upstream, should they wish to create only replica 2 volumes and are okay with resolving split-brains if they occur using the various CLI/automatic policy based mechanisms that exist in gluster. This bug is getting closed because a release has been made available that should address the reported issue. In case the problem is still not fixed with glusterfs-5.0, please open a new bug report. glusterfs-5.0 has been announced on the Gluster mailinglists [1], packages for several distributions should become available in the near future. Keep an eye on the Gluster Users mailinglist [2] and the update infrastructure for your distribution.
