This is not the place to request updates, we only take care of new packages. Long story short I ended up with maintaining the package because it was wrongly attributed to someone. I pushed an update that should be shortly available through updates-testing. Thanks for your report.
That's a little disappointing that I spent my sunday going thru the effort of fixing this, only for it to go unused..
