Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Corey Welton 2018-07-02 03:15:53 UTC
Description of problem:

When user has selected "Any Organization" from the org picker, an error is thrown.

This is essentially a regression from the old UI, which would prompt user to select an Org before going any further on this page.

Note that I have not dug into any potential consequences of further workflows while in this state (uploading manifests, etc.)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satellite 6.4.0 snap 10

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an Org or two, upload a manifest to one or more of these Orgs, etc.
2. In the context switcher, select "Any Organization"
3. Nav to the Subscriptions page

Actual results:
An error dialog reading...

Couldn't find organization ''

Expected results:

This page (and all related pages in the Subs workflow) should not be accessible if no specific org is selected.

Comment 7 Satellite Program 2018-07-25 18:13:27 UTC
Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite 6 since the upstream issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/24143 has been resolved.

Comment 9 Roxanne Hoover 2018-07-30 13:44:42 UTC
Verified on Snap 14

When Any Organization is selection, the user is now directed to a page that asks them to choose an organization before proceeding. This is consistent with how other areas of the application handle the necessity of org selection.

Screen shots attached.
