Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Douglas Schilling Landgraf 2018-07-11 14:32:47 UTC
Description of problem:

RHV 4.2.5 will ship in two weeks with rhv-log-collector-analyzer, we would like to add it the sos plugin support as well.

Plugin under review here:
https://github.com/sosreport/sos/pull/1380

Comment 3 Pavel Moravec 2018-07-12 16:38:51 UTC
I do not expect this will get into RHEL 7.6 as:

- we are far beyond devel freeze by (several) weeks
- code is not yet committed to upstream, rather there is ongoing discussion there

I suggest defering this to 7.7.

Comment 5 Pavel Moravec 2018-07-13 12:37:31 UTC
Is also - somehow related - PR1260 required to backport?

Comment 6 Bryn M. Reeves 2018-07-13 13:15:49 UTC
I guess 1260 is nice to have for this, although not really a requirement?

Comment 7 Douglas Schilling Landgraf 2018-08-13 13:55:11 UTC
(In reply to Pavel Moravec from comment #5)
> Is also - somehow related - PR1260 required to backport?

https://github.com/sosreport/sos/pull/1260 not related to us.

Comment 9 Pavel Moravec 2018-08-20 10:04:02 UTC
devel_ack+ for 7.6.z (or theoretically for 7.6.0 (only) if we will be forced to a re-spin due to another reasons)

Steve, could you pm_ack+ and evaluate exception? for possible inclusion in 7.6 (only in case if I will re-spin due to some failedQA)? The aim is to collect rhv-log-collector-analyzer output in sosreport, valuable for supporting RHEV 4.2 - see above comment for business justification.
