Plan for Openshift versions >= 3.11 should be to use explicit flag in controller-manager so as Openshift does not have to carry hack patches for this.

Comment 5 Hemant Kumar 2018-09-12 15:23:38 UTC
Cherry pick for https://github.com/openshift/origin/pull/20954

Comment 6 Hemant Kumar 2018-09-12 22:13:37 UTC
Both ansible and openshift PR is merged.

Comment 7 Wei Sun 2018-09-13 05:44:31 UTC
The 3.11 openshift-ansible PR https://github.com/openshift/openshift-ansible/pull/10032 has been merged to openshift-ansible-3.11.3-1 , the orign PR 20954 has been merged to v3.11.3-1,please check the bug.

Tested on below version:
openshift v3.11.5
kubernetes v1.11.0+d4cacc0

# uname -a
Linux qe-chaoyang-311-node-1 3.10.0-862.11.6.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Aug 10 16:55:11 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.5 (Maipo)

The persist volume with recycle Reclaim policy works well, it is using the image

openshift3/ose-recycler:v3.11 same with other images' tag

Closing bugs that were verified and targeted for GA but for some reason were not picked up by errata. This bug fix should be present in current 3.11 release content.

We're still not seeing the fix for ignored controller arguments in v3.11.59. This BZ isn't listed in any of the patches for 3.11.x here [0]. It's a major oversight since the control plane cannot configured correctly.

When can we expect this to be released?

Kier - this bug is about NFS recycler configuration in controller-manager. Openshift used to carry a patch for recycler. As part of the bug fix the patch has been removed and now recycler is specified directly as a command line argument to controller-manager. The fix is available in all versions of Openshift. I and QE have verified it to work.

Talking to Mitchell - it is my understanding that you are trying to set `large-cluster-size-threshold`. That argument to controller-manager has nothing to do with this bug.

Comment 30 Hemant Kumar 2019-04-23 15:02:33 UTC
I meant fix is available in all versions of Openshift-3.11
