Hello Stanislav, when did you start to experience the issue with urw-base35-nimbus-sans-fonts package? After some update? After upgrade to F28? If so, what was your previous version of Fedora?

If so, what was your previous version of Fedora? It was on Fedora since I start using it and first Fedora that I used was 26.

Sorry, that still does not answer my question. :-/ When did the problem start to occur for you?
(In reply to David Kaspar [Dee'Kej] from comment #7) > Sorry, that still does not answer my question. :-/ When did the problem > start to occur for you? Problem has occurred to me since I start use Fedora 26. Approximately since november 2017. Frankly speaking I always watch that bug in Fedora in that particular site but I didn't wrote about that earlier.
OK, let me try it this way: Which version of urw-base35-fonts worked for you OK? Which version of urw-base35-fonts is causing the issue?
> Which version of urw-base35-fonts worked for you OK? there are no working versions > Which version of urw-base35-fonts is causing the issue? urw-base35-fonts-20170801-10.fc28.src.rpm or lower
This message is a reminder that Fedora 28 is nearing its end of life. On 2019-May-28 Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 28. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '28'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 28 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Problem still exists even in Rawhide. Switching version.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 31 development cycle. Changing version to '31'.
This package has changed maintainer in the Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.

Still present in F33. Switching branch.
Hi Vitaly, Thanks for keeping this bug updated. I've updated urw-base35-fonts to the 20200910 version recently. This version includes this fix: https://github.com/ArtifexSoftware/urw-base35-fonts/commit/c15105598aa7eb256b1ebfcecd3d078801521e73, which should fix the problem with the letter's width (it's present on the screenshot you've attached - the is an extra space before the character). If that is what's bothering you, then the problem should be fixed. However if the problem is that the cyrillic character look like "т" this, not like "m" this, are you sure that isn't how it's supposed to be? What worked for me was uninstalling the urw-base35-fonts package completely, then the web page you've provided renders the character as "m". In the web page you've provided, Helvetica Neue font is used. I couldn't find a lot of examples, but in this one https://webfonts.pro/base-web-fonts/sans-serif-grotesque/503-helvetica-neue-cyr.html I also see the caracter as "т". Do you have any example font that, when installed, results in this character looking like "m" for you? Because I feel like this is how this font intended it to be. Thanks in advance
Tested. It works fine for me now. Thanks.
