Description of problem: Gnumeric crashes (everytime and instnatly) whenever you try to copy back an already definded condition for further editing. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnumeric-1.12.41-1.fc28.x86_64 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. start gnumeric with a new sheet 2. select a few rows and columns 3. press RMB "conditional formatting" 4. select "cell value is < x" (or anything else) 5. enter "0" for X 6. select a background color (by clicking on style and keep the other settings as they are) 7. press "<=" add button 8. the condition shows up on the left tree 9. select the condition and press "=>" copy button (crash) Actual results: crash + killing off all open instances of gnumeric Expected results: no crash and if crash then don't kill all instances of gnumeric Additional info:

Looks as if this issue has been addressed already: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnumeric/commit/2a3d9295fcbb65bceebc7c95d6867408eb4b4563 Waiting for a (temp) patch or new version of gnumeric.
Analysis is correct and the changes linked to in comment 2 is the patch.
Thank you! Is a new gnumeric release planned soon? There is not much point patching 1.12.41 if .42 is about to be released. Thank you for letting me know!
