The ReadMATImageV4 function in coders/mat.c in ImageMagick before versions 6.9.10-8 and 7.0.8-8 uses an uninitialized variable, leading to memory corruption.

Statement:

This issue did not affect the versions of ImageMagick as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6, and 7.
