Description of problem: Current BIND implements digest operations in its own function. It does not use OpenSSL for hashing, used for example for signatures validation or RNDC validation. There is already configure option --enable-openssl-hash in configure to enable it. bind-pkcs11 variant uses OpenSSL via softhsm module already. It can have problem with FIPS 140-2 mode, because it is disabled system-wide by openssl library. But that behaviour is expected and should be adressed different way.
