In order to improve usability of packages in Fedora, project Man Page Scan was created and its task is to provide consistency of man pages (and documentation in general). The results are now available for package maintainers to fix documentation issues. If you need to re-run the check yourself, here is the simple process of man page check: 1. Download man-page-day from: https://pagure.io/ManualPageScan/blob/master/f/man-page-day.sh 2. Run the script: $ ./man-page-day.sh python3

[ Error ] binary /usr/bin/pydoc3 has no man page! [ Error ] binary /usr/bin/pydoc3.6 has no man page! and [ Error ] binary /usr/bin/python3.6m has no man page! and [ Error ] binary /usr/bin/pyvenv has no man page! [ Error ] binary /usr/bin/pyvenv-3.6 has no man page! (also note that the pyvenv script is deprecated) I think that if we really want to have manpages for pydoc and pyvenv, that should be brought upstream. For python3.6m, maybe we can symblink the python3.6 one?
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 29 development cycle. Changing version to '29'.
We should add the link from python3.6m to python3.6. The others aren't important enough to have man pages.
Patrik, it would be nice if you kept this on your radar. It's still low priority though.
Patrik fixed this in https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python3/pull-request/106 I've built it in rawhide. IMHO it's not worth to actively backport the change. Thanks Patrik.
I've also made sure the change landed in python38 as well. https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python38/c/084a366e3d465801793c881800b016a776ba7c68?branch=master
