We are not using raw/qcow2 terms anywhere else and it is simply confusing the customer. We should follow the same conversion and use THIN-Provisioned when talking about qcow2 type disks and Preallocated when talking about RAW. At least this is what we mean in the template creation dialogue.
8 believe this should also be Storage. Not sure if the mapping of raw/qcow to thin/preallocated is exactly like that
This bug has not been marked as blocker for oVirt 4.3.0. Since we are releasing it tomorrow, January 29th, this bug has been re-targeted to 4.3.1.
Decided to change this bug to add a tooltip to explain the engine volume type / format matrix and the combination results After bug 1573413 will be solved.
Do you guys need any UX help with this bug? I would be happy to write the text for the tooltip.
Do you guys need help with 1573413 before we work on this issue?
(In reply to Eyal Shenitzky from comment #7) > Decided to change this bug to add a tooltip to explain the engine volume > type / format matrix and the combination results > After bug 1573413 will be solved. Can you clarify if this bug is solved or not? On one hand I see merged patched and the other hand you said that you will wait till bug 1573413 is solved but it's in 'NEW' state?
The documentation text flag should only be set after 'doc text' field is provided. Please provide the documentation text and set the flag to '?' again.
