Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.
Description:
Page should auto-refresh after subscriptions have been modified on the Satellite webui. If we add/remove some quantities of subscriptions from the satellite webui then we need to refresh the browser manually for the new modifications to reflect in the sat webui.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 6.4
Additional info:
Mihir,
Do you have an internal reproducer for this one?
I just tried the following operations on an internal reference Satellite 6.4 instance and did not have to do a page refresh to see the resulting changes.
1. Add Subscriptions
2. Edit subscription
3. Delete Subscriptions
Note: I am using Chrome; however, I don't think browser should impact this one.
Hi Brad,
I do not have a reproducer atm apart my local KVM set-up.
But can observe that auto-refresh does-not happen when we add sub in Satellite, while in-case when we try remove sub it performs browser refresh.
tested on:
FireFox : version 57.0.1(64 bit)
Chrome: Version 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Hi Ameya,
Apologies, but I do have a few more questions.
Do you see any errors in the browser console?
Do you see any errors in the production.log? (Can you attach a foreman-debug that captures the scenario).
Can you attach a video/recording of the scenario?
Thanks!
I have verified the behaviour again with 6.5.0-GA after editing the subscriptions inside Sat6.
After confirmation dialog you are correctly redirected to the Subscirpotions page.
.... BUT.... the problem is that the updated subscriptions are not show yet
then looking in the tasks list the reason is clear, there is a background task started 'Update Upstream Subscription' that needed (in my case) 2 minutes to finish.
To summarize, the behaviour is all correct.
An improvement for the user experience (adapting the user expectations) shall be that the already existing confirmation dialog to 'change X entitlements' have an information line that mentiosn that the refreshing the subscriptions is done in the background and can take a few minutes.
Since the problem described in this bug report should be
resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a
resolution of ERRATA.
