Description Neha Chugh 2018-08-30 08:47:41 UTC
Document URL:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_cloudforms/4.6/html/migrating_to_red_hat_cloudforms_4.6/index

Section Number and Name:
1. Migrating from CloudForms 4.5 (CFME 5.8) to CloudForms 4.6 (CFME 5.9)

Describe the issue:

Net ssh gem has been upgraded in our latest release

Net SSH version is 4.2.0 in CFME version 5.9.4.0
Net SSH version is 3.2.0 in CFME version 5.8.4.5

Net::SSH::Connection::Session::StringWithExitstatus was introduced in the newer version of Net::SSH. And this object is not serializable via Drb.

Suggestions for improvement:

Need to add it as a note in Migration Document, As DRB exceptions are observed after migrating from 4.5 to 3.6 due to upgradation of Net/ssh gem.

Thank you for bring this to my attention. I recently took over as DPM for CloudForms, and I am working through our backlog trying to put my arms around it. From the looks of it, there has been no assignment nor progress on this issue. Rest assured that there are new eyes looking at the backlog, with an increased focus on resolving items that have been open for sometime.

Kind regards,

David
