Description of problem: After upgrading to F28 I can no longer use the 'lpr' command against an old cups 1.3.9 server, even when /version=1.1 is added. I always get a lpr: Bad Request back and nothing is printed Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): cups client 2.2.6 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. configure cups to print against an cups 1.3.9 server 2. run "lpr somefile" 3. output is "lpr: Bad Request" Actual results: lpr: Bad Request Expected results: file is printed Additional info: I've reported this to the CUPS devel list and they say it is a known bug, fixed in cups 2.2.8+
Hi JJ, I think I found the commit which fixed the issue. Would you mind testing it when I create a build?
Oh I will not mind at all - I will test the build. It might take me a day or two though, as I don't have 24/7 access to the F28 laptop.
