Lorax doesn't depend on python3-librepo. It was expecting the librepo module to be pulled via dnf dependency, which is a bad idea because dnf doesn't provide librepo. Could you add the librepo requirement as dnf no longer requires it and this breaks lorax? Please make sure the change is applied on both Rawhide and F29.
Proposed as a Blocker for 29-beta by Fedora user bcl using the blocker tracking app because: lorax won't run
Instead of taking this as a blocker, could we please put the lorax fix together with the dnf update that removes the dependency? That way if we take that dnf update through the freeze (to fix some other blocker or FE), the lorax fix will come with it.
Discussed at 2018-09-10 blocker review meeting: https://meetbot-raw.fedoraproject.org/fedora-blocker-review/2018-09-10/f29-blocker-review.2018-09-10-16.01.html . We decided to reject this as a blocker. As per #c2, this *would* be a blocker if we got into the situation where nothing else in the package set installed alongside lorax required librepo, but for now, we are not in that situation, so this is not a release blocker. We will make sure to check whether any dnf update we wish to pull in to fix a blocker or FE bug causes this problem, and if so, ensure a fixed lorax is included in the update: this bug does not need blocker or FE status to allow that.
