In line with the Mass Python 2 Package Removal [0], the following (sub)packages of uwsgi were marked for removal: * python2-uwsgidecorators According to our query, those packages only provide a Python 2 importable module. If this is not true, please tell us why, so we can fix our query. Please remove them from your package. As said in the change document, if there is no objection in a week, we will remove the package(s) as soon as we get to it. This change might not match your packaging style, so we'd prefer if you did the change. If you need more time, please let us know here. We hope this doesn't come to you as a surprise. If you want to know our motivation for this, please read the change document [0]. [0] https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Mass_Python_2_Package_Removal
No objection, but please allow me a little bit longer to restructure the spec file to make the python2 subpackages optional. This one is a bit complicated.
Any update? Do you need a helping hand?
Due to other time constraints I haven't had time to focus on this yet. Sorry about that. I'll prioritize it this week to not hold it up any longer. It's not just python2-uwsgidecorators, there are also four uwsgi plugins that are built for python2. - uwsgi-plugin-python2 - uwsgi-plugin-python2-gevent - uwsgi-plugin-python2-greenlet - uwsgi-plugin-python2-tornado The way these plugins are built is not currently in a state that makes spec file conditionals easy to implement. I don't think I need help, but if that changes I'll be sure to let you know. Thanks for checking in!
I went ahead and got a build done that disables python2-uwsgidecorators on F30+, but leaves the other python2 subpackages enabled. I'll need more time to rework the spec file to accomplish that end goal. For now, this build will resolve this bug. https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1159194
