Do you need a specific feature or bugfix that's present in 2.4.1, or is it just to match Fedora?
Hi, Our users would like to benefit from the huge changelog (added features) listed from the 2.3.2 release to 2.4.x series. But maybe it is more suited for an scl version with python2 and python3 support? Thanks Tru
Alright, that's good enough for me. I'll put this on my TODO list.
@rathann: Open Babel 3.0.0 was released in October; the rawhide branch should also be updated.

As I said last year (https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/scitech@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/X2CGRM6Z2CD7A6JUY7TTNJHOGUCDIYNQ/), I want to give openbabel to someone who has more time for it and actual interest in it. I don't use it anymore and I don't work with people who do anymore. Would you like to take it over?
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
I will release openbabel-2.4.1 in epel7 soon, then i will work on openbabel-3.* Could this be a problem because of libopenbabel's soname bump (4 -> 5)?
EPEL 7 entered end-of-life (EOL) status on 2024-06-30. EPEL 7 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.
