Description Michael J. McGillick 2000-08-15 19:23:04 UTC
I have an HP Netserver LH3 with an embedded Cirrus Logic GD544x Graphics
card. Under prior version of Red Hat Linux including 6.2, the card has
always been detected properly, and then allowed to probe to get all of the
settings. With the new pinstripe beta release, the card is still being
detected, but now Xconfigurator is asking me to enter all of the
infromation for the card instead of allowing me to run the probe utility
to automatically detect the settings. No matter what I select for
settings on the card, it never seems to come out the same way as when the
probe utility detected the correct settings.

The only thing the probe did was check for memory, I think - which we now try to
do with DDC.
