Description Lyude 2018-09-13 18:49:00 UTC
Description of problem:
Since upgrading from ghostscript-9.23-1.fc28.x86_64 to 9.24-1.fc28.x86_64, trying to print emails from Evolution causes ghostscript to segfault on all of my printers (they're all HPs). Downgrading to the previous version of ghostscript fixes the issues.

Version-Release number of selected component:
ghostscript-9.24-1.fc28

Comment 15 Norman Smith 2018-09-15 18:27:44 UTC
Fedora folks provided ghostscript-9.24-1.fc28.x86_64 and/or its associated packages as an update. It killed cups-pdf. I traced the problem to ghostscript. My problem appears related to this bug. I posted on the Fedora Desktop list and asked the update be reverted. Downgrading to ghostscript-9.23-1.fc28.x86_64 works for me.

Comment 16 Norman Smith 2018-09-15 21:19:13 UTC
Please ignore comments 14 and 15. I updated to 9.24-3 from updates testing and it cleared my problem.

Comment 17 David Kaspar // Dee'Kej 2018-09-17 08:08:24 UTC
Please, give a try to
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/ghostscript-9.24-3.fc28

Based on the backtrace, I think it could fix your issue. If you try it, don't forget to let us know if it fixes the problem or not. Thanks! :)

Comment 18 Norman Smith 2018-09-17 15:02:12 UTC
Re Comment 17:
I downgraded from 9.24-3 that I installed from updates testing (Comment 16) to 9.23-1. I then updated to ghostscript-9.24-3.fc28.x86_64 from the regular Fedora repos. The update fixes my issue. Thanks.

Comment 19 Lyude 2018-09-18 15:00:17 UTC
Yep, works for me. Thanks!
