Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description of problem:
Testing of IDM against requirements for barrier free access by our client has resulted in several violations according to requirements defined in http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20. The client specifically noted a violation of items 2.1.1, 2.4.3 and 2.4.7.
Please indicate, how these shortcomings could be resolved by enhancing your product with the required functionality.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Red Hat 7.3, Red Hat IDM/FreeIPA 4.4.0
Here an example of a complain:
Refer to the attached screenshot
The navigation between the „upper“ Menu and the context specific “lower” menu bar is not easily possible. When navigating e.g. to “Regeln” (Rules) with TAB and activating the menu entry with ENTER the GUI displays the first entry from the lower menu and moves the input focus to the seach field. It is not possible to reach other items in the lower menu with SHIFT-TAB or any other means but the mouse. Only after moving back the “Regeln” again and hitting ENTER the lower menu becomes accessible.
Highlighting the item with active input focus sometimes is almost impossible to see. Especially in the “lower” menu when there are drop-down options (see attached screenshot). Another example is the highlighting of emtpy table fields.
Additional info:
It would be handy to know of all the issues the user has found.
We can try to find a compliance checker that can check the IPA UI to try to provide complete compliance but having specific things to check for would be helpful as well.
The customer's customer is in the middle of a major release. They will try and get the full report. I told them that we'll keep this request open and if the data can't be provided within the next few weeks, we'll see what we can do in terms of a third party compliance checker.
Thanks!
Marc
