sudo dnf install deluge
Last metadata expiration check: 0:48:15 ago on Wed 26 Sep 2018 07:11:29 AM EEST.
Error:
Problem: package deluge-1.3.15-11.fc29.noarch requires deluge-gtk = 1.3.15-11.fc29, but none of the providers can be installed
  - conflicting requests
  - nothing provides python2-notify needed by deluge-gtk-1.3.15-11.fc29.noarch

Comment 1 Michael Cronenworth 2018-09-26 14:28:04 UTC
The python2-notify package was retired without notifying me. I'm not sure if I'll pick it up or update Deluge to use a different library.

Adding python2-notify maintainer.

Asking upstream about their timeline to update Deluge: https://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=55079

Let's wait and see ,Thanks for your interest.

Comment 3 Emory Taylor 2018-09-26 21:33:47 UTC
python2-notify also broke guake, and since they are 2 of the first few ones I installed, it was a little surprising!

dnf repoquery --whatrequires python2-notify

Comment 4 Paul W. Frields 2018-09-27 12:50:16 UTC
Maintainer of python2-notify here. Unfortunately, my tools for locating dependencies were deficient and thus I saw this package as "OK to retire" when clearly it wasn't. I'll work with releng to get it unretired and returned to working order, so your packages will be working again shortly.

Comment 5 Michael Cronenworth 2018-09-27 13:39:39 UTC
Thanks, Paul. Feel free to reach out if you need assistance.

Comment 6 Paul W. Frields 2018-09-27 15:46:43 UTC
@Michael -- consider yourself reached! :-D I need a package review via the BZ that I just marked as a dep here, because the package was out of commission for too long. I sincerely apologize and at the same time would very much appreciate the favor so I can give it right back. ;-)

Comment 7 Emory Taylor 2018-09-29 21:41:05 UTC
Related, I couldn't get deluge-daemon running as a service without installing python-service-identity

systemd coughed up
"UserWarning: You do not have a working installation of the service_identity module"

(which has a bump request here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1454995 but otherwise installed fine on f29)

@Emory: Please file that as a separate bug; let's not muddy this bug with a different issue.
