Eclipse error log

Description of problem:
Eclipse won't restart after installing Spring Tool Suite from Marketplace

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
eclipse-platform-4.9.0-2.fc29.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. New workspace; remove ~/.eclipse
2. Install Spring Tool Suite 4 from Marketplace
3.

Actual results:
Eclipse fails to restart

Expected results:
.log attached

Additional info:

1. STS 4 installs into the Eclipse from upstream without any issue.
2. Since F28 this happens all the time with the Spring plugins from marketplace. I can't get a working platform and have to resort to using
upstream

Perform the installation with upstream: Version: 2018-09 (4.9.0)
Build id: 20180917-1800

1. Install Spring Tool Suite 4 from Marketplace
2. Platform restarts successfully
3. .log attached

Eclipse successful log

Install Spring Tool Suite 4 from marketplace using upstream Eclipse.

This time restart is successful.

Comment 3 space88man 2018-10-06 13:33:59 UTC
This may be related to runtime Java (9). Works when I switch the runtime to 11.

Comment 4 space88man 2019-01-13 00:53:58 UTC
Cannot reproduce with eclipse-platform-4.10.0-1.fc29.x86_64 java-11-openjdk-11.0.1.13-10.fc29.x86_64
