Tested with cockpit-ovirt-dashboard-0.11.38 Tooltip over the logical size of VDO volume, clearly states that 'Default logical size will be ten times of brick size' This bugzilla is included in oVirt 4.2.8 release, published on January 22nd 2019. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in oVirt 4.2.8 release, it has been closed with a resolution of CURRENT RELEASE. If the solution does not work for you, please open a new bug report. |
Created attachment 1494774 [details] The default values, for 'Size(GB)' of 100, the 'Logical Size(GB)' is calculated as 1000. Description of problem: Step 1: https://<host1FQDN>:9090/ Step 2: Virtualization → Hosted Engine Step 3: Click Start underneath Hyperconverged Step 4: Complete Section 1 to 3 Step 5: Under Section 4 - Bricks, the following is observed After enabling 'Enable Dedupe & Compression', the 'Logical Size(GB)' field appears. The tool tip mentions 'Default logical size will be four times of brick size' According to the default values, for 'Size(GB)' of 100, the 'Logical Size(GB)' is calculated as 1000. Basis discussion with Sas, the tool tip needs to be corrected. Refer attached screenshot for more information.
