Description Bill Crawford 2005-07-23 23:21:18 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b3) Gecko/20050723 Fedora/1.1-0.2.4.deerpark.alpha2 Firefox/1.0+

Description of problem:
Metacity goes into a loop, restarting over and over again. This was apparently triggered by opening a firefox window with a very, very long title.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.11.0-3

How reproducible:
Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a firefox window with a very, very long title.

Actual Results: Every time I switched to the desktop with the firefox window, metacity restarted (well, crashed, and gnome-session restarted it).

Expected Results: It should have not crashed. Perhaps truncate the title?

... etc

I'm marking this "high" because, well, it's the window manager. Without it, it's hard to do anything ..
